<p><strong>Name of Ensemble:</strong>BlakOpal Levant Suit &#8211; Black-Red</p>
<p><strong>Creator:</strong> blakopal Galicia</p>
<p><strong>Shoppe:</strong> <a href="http://slurl.com/secondlife/New%20Babbage/233/195/111" target="_blank">BlakOpal Designs</a></p>
<p><strong>Comments:</strong></p>
<p>BlakOpal is a designer I have been keeping my eye on since I first discovered them perhaps over a year ago. Some creators simply stagnate, some are very consistent and reliable for outstanding quality (i.e. Falln), and a few not only improve by leaps and bounds in a short amount of time, but continually outdo their own creations with each successive release (i.e. Silent Sparrow).</p>
<p>BlakOpal has steadily improved and I have been meaning to acquire their last few creations. This weekend I finally picked up the Levant Suit, and I&#8217;m reasonably pleased with it.</p>
<p><span id="more-245"></span></p>
<p>Overall the ensemble is fairly consistent, and quite dashing. I believe the cloak pin could differ in a way to accent this ensemble much better and although it is modify, it would take a little effort to do so to my satisfaction.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.sge-sl.com/elric_anatine/images/BlakOpal Levant_02.png" class="highslide-image" onclick="return hs.expand(this);"></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center"><a href="http://www.sge-sl.com/elric_anatine/images/BlakOpal Levant_02.png" class="highslide-image" onclick="return hs.expand(this);"><img src="http://www.sge-sl.com/elric_anatine/images/BlakOpal Levant_02.png" border="1" alt="" width="375" /></a></p>
<p align="center"><em>[click image for larger view]</em></p>
<p>The jabot and collar is excellent, the fabric exquisite. The presentation and style are definitely to my taste.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.sge-sl.com/elric_anatine/images/BlakOpal Levant_03.png" class="highslide-image" onclick="return hs.expand(this);"></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center"><a href="http://www.sge-sl.com/elric_anatine/images/BlakOpal Levant_03.png" class="highslide-image" onclick="return hs.expand(this);"><img src="http://www.sge-sl.com/elric_anatine/images/BlakOpal Levant_03.png" border="1" alt="" width="375" /></a></p>
<p align="center"><em>[click image for larger view]</em></p>
<p>The vest clasps are refined (and a little unique as well) and definitely draw the eye.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.sge-sl.com/elric_anatine/images/BlakOpal Levant_04.png" class="highslide-image" onclick="return hs.expand(this);"></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center"><a href="http://www.sge-sl.com/elric_anatine/images/BlakOpal Levant_04.png" class="highslide-image" onclick="return hs.expand(this);"><img src="http://www.sge-sl.com/elric_anatine/images/BlakOpal Levant_04.png" border="1" alt="" width="375" /></a></p>
<p align="center"><em>[click image for larger view]</em></p>
<p>The prim coat tails flow nicely and fit seamlessly to my frame.</p>
<p>Boots are also by BlakOpal, and I was pleased the colours matched well.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.sge-sl.com/elric_anatine/images/BlakOpal Levant_05.png" class="highslide-image" onclick="return hs.expand(this);"></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center"><a href="http://www.sge-sl.com/elric_anatine/images/BlakOpal Levant_05.png" class="highslide-image" onclick="return hs.expand(this);"><img src="http://www.sge-sl.com/elric_anatine/images/BlakOpal Levant_05.png" border="1" alt="" width="375" /></a></p>
<p align="center"><em>[click image for larger view]</em></p>
<p>Without the jacket, jabot and cloak, the ensemble still stands on its own. Perfect for lounging in one&#8217;s study at the end of the day.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.sge-sl.com/elric_anatine/images/BlakOpal Levant_06.png" class="highslide-image" onclick="return hs.expand(this);"></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center"><a href="http://www.sge-sl.com/elric_anatine/images/BlakOpal Levant_06.png" class="highslide-image" onclick="return hs.expand(this);"><img src="http://www.sge-sl.com/elric_anatine/images/BlakOpal Levant_06.png" border="1" alt="" width="375" /></a></p>
<p align="center"><em>[click image for larger view]</em></p>
<p>The boots, unfortunately, are not quite what I am (still) searching for. They are modify, and if I wish to spend considerable time rebuilding them to my size, I could likely improve on them for myself. Boots are difficult to construct, and I understand that avatars come in all shapes and sizes.  On a larger avatar, I have no doubts these boots fit perfectly.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.sge-sl.com/elric_anatine/images/BlakOpal Levant_07.png" class="highslide-image" onclick="return hs.expand(this);"></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center"><a href="http://www.sge-sl.com/elric_anatine/images/BlakOpal Levant_07.png" class="highslide-image" onclick="return hs.expand(this);"><img src="http://www.sge-sl.com/elric_anatine/images/BlakOpal Levant_07.png" border="1" alt="" width="375" /></a></p>
<p align="center"><em>[click image for larger view]</em></p>
<p>Furry friendly? Most definitely (I didn&#8217;t even have to switch to my other tail). The trousers are modify, making shortening for digitigrade legs easy.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.sge-sl.com/elric_anatine/images/BlakOpal Levant_08.png" class="highslide-image" onclick="return hs.expand(this);"></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center"><a href="http://www.sge-sl.com/elric_anatine/images/BlakOpal Levant_08.png" class="highslide-image" onclick="return hs.expand(this);"><img src="http://www.sge-sl.com/elric_anatine/images/BlakOpal Levant_08.png" border="1" alt="" width="375" /></a></p>
<p align="center"><em>[click image for larger view]</em></p>
<p>A little more casual, and still very elegant.</p>
<p>I look forward to acquiring a couple of BlakOpal&#8217;s recent releases and seeing future improvements to this Pirate Ware (and a little more) specialty shoppe.</p>

<p><strong>Name of Ensemble:</strong> Pirate Poet (Black)</p>
<p><strong>Creator:</strong> Miss BlakOpal Galicia and Mr. TriloByte Zanzibar</p>
<p><strong>Shoppe:</strong> <a href="http://slurl.com/secondlife/Babbage%20Square/175/214/106" target="_blank">Black Opal</a></p>
<p><strong>Number of Pieces: </strong> 8</p>
<p><strong>Variations Within Ensemble:</strong> 2 trouser styles</p>
<p><strong>Comments:</strong></p>
<p><span id="more-23"></span></p>
<p>This is my first purchase from Black Opal, having recently added the shoppe to my list of Gentleman&#8217;s Attire. I confess that the buckles and shiny attributes are what appealed to me first and foremost (although I intend to acquire another ensemble from Black Opal at some point in the future).</p>
<p>The textures are quite nice, and while I thought that I might be disappointed by the textured belt on trousers, I was not. My only wish in this regard was that an option for unbelted trousers was also included so that one might wear a prim belt &#8212; particularly with a rapier attached given that the ensemble incorporates the verbiage of &#8220;Pirate&#8221;. Regardless, the textures are mostly attractive.</p>
<p>I was only disappointed in the pirate poet&#8217;s shirt. I felt the texture could have leaned towards the exotic and refined, but perhaps that&#8217;s a personal preference and desire at play here. Some textured laces or frills or even prim options for such would have completed this ensemble.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.sge-sl.com/elric_anatine/images/BlackOpalPiratePoet_2.jpg" class="highslide-image" onclick="return hs.expand(this);"></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center"><a href="http://www.sge-sl.com/elric_anatine/images/BlackOpalPiratePoet_2.jpg" class="highslide-image" onclick="return hs.expand(this);"><img src="http://www.sge-sl.com/elric_anatine/images/BlackOpalPiratePoet_2.jpg" border="1" alt="" width="475" /></a></p>
<p align="center"><em>[click for larger image]</em></p>
<p>I am pleased the ensemble is fur friendly (no disappearing tail with the wearing of the lower prim coat).</p>
<p>Two variations of trousers &#8212; one form fitting and one flared, are perfect depending on your choice of footware. Speaking of footware, I did not spy any demos of footware and as particular as I am, did not purchase those available at Black Opal.</p>
<p>This is most certainly a fun creation, with snaps and buckles to satisfy the most discerning pirate of poetry and more. I look forward to plundering Black Opal&#8217;s offerings further.</p>
